Innovative technology gives the leading position on the market, and coordinated teamwork ensures timely and quality fulfillment of orders, gives an opportunity to quickly respond to competitive developments. The importance of the above and many other factors influencing successful development of the business was discussed between Gvardia and Roman KOZIY, the General Director of the engineering and construction company Karkas.

— How was Karkas established? Why you decided to approach the fast assembly buildings (FAB) market?

— The Company was established since we had a clear understanding that the commercial construction market experienced a deficit for services and products for fast construction of business buildings. At the end of the 1990s we delivered fencing structures but in the course of communication with our customers it became clear that a complex solution for whole building is more important as compared to delivery and supply of separate components. We studied the experience of European countries and incorporated Karkas in 2000. It specializes on the commercial construction market.

Well-reputed European manufacturer of complete buildings Astron Buildings S.A was elected as a supplier. In 2004 through 2006 Karkas was recognized as the largest dealer of Astron in Europe in terms of the area of buildings constructed. According to our estimates we were the leader in the metal structure FAB segment in Ukraine in 2006.

— What is the foundation of the Karkas success?

— Our technology lay in the background of the success. It allows quickly designing and erecting buildings as well as strict supervision over app phases of design work and construction. But the main component of our success is integrity of our relations with customers; we offer only feasible solutions and thoroughly calculate the cost of work and building. Therefore, as contrary to the existing practice the ultimate cost of building after completion is similar to the one offered to the respective customer.

— Business success demands a well-selected team …

— Karkas was initially founded in compliance with all rules for correct business organization: from formulation of objectives to formation of the structure compatible with such objectives. Due to the above approach each team member has a clear vision of the company strategy, priority tasks and the way to achieve such tasks. We have special personnel: loyal and sincere. The Company, in its turn, takes care of increase in the professional competence of its employees and provides incentives to them based on the results achieved.

— What is the company’s development strategy for the coming years?

— Karkas transfers from the delivery of complete buildings to a turnkey building concept; in addition it goes out of the framework of complete metal structures buildings. We are planning to use an Astron technology contemplating the use of concrete pillars.

Now as it was in the past we guarantee reliable and mutually beneficial cooperation since our goal is customer satisfaction and loyalty.
