Governor’s Evaluation

In September 2009 in Yaroslavl, an investment project for construction of a complete steel building plant of ASTRON Buildings is about to end. The company’s products include complete buildings of light metal structures (LMS) for various purposes: production buildings, warehouses, car showrooms, logistic terminals, shopping and entertaining centers, sport complexes. The plant is a part of ASTRON Buildings group of companies (Luxembourg), occupying leading positions in design and production of complete buildings of LMS in Europe. The company has a design bureau and production centers in several European countries. ASTRON Buildings is a unit of Swedish concern Lindab. Yaroslavl branch of ASTRON Buildings already employs over 120 highly competent specialists, who passed trainings at the Company’s plants in Luxembourg and Czechia. High-precision equipment is installed, using newest scientific developments. The company is currently operating in test mode. Yaroslavl and Yaroslavl region already have examples of buildings erected by ASTRON: a warehouse complex at Baltika brewery (YarPivo), tennis courts in Parkovo, ASTRON plant itself, a production and warehouse complex «Nordenia-Slavnika» in Pereyaslav-Zalessky, a Komatsu plant under construction. On September 3, the new enterprise of Lindab concern was visited by a management delegation from Lindab company, headed by CEO David Brodecki and Lindab’s Board of Directors headed by Chairman Svend Holst-Nielsen, and also, invited by ASTRON Buildings, a governmental delegation of Yaroslavl region headed by Governor Sergey Alekseyevich Vakhrukov. Lindab’s Board of Directors and the Governor of Yaroslavl region held a joint meeting. After the meeting, a tour of the company’s manufacturing workshops was arranged, ending in a briefing with the press. The new enterprise impressed the Governor. Mr. Vakhrukov left the following entry in the guestbook: “I am pleased and excited with production, engineering level and quality of work. I am positive that the Company’s products manufactured in Yaroslavl will enjoy great demand in Russia”. |
